Old City Equity
Conviction. Timing. Vibes.
Institutional-grade overconfidence.
Retail-grade results.

We are a Philadelphia-based investment firm founded on a simple principle: If it's already up... it's probably going higher.

"Cutting-edge hindsight with aggressively late entries."

Est. Paddy's Pub, Old City, Philadelphia

Investment Philosophy
We reject outdated strategies like "research," "risk management," and "understanding what we're buying."

Momentum Chasing

If it's trending, we're interested. If it's peaked, we're fully allocated.

Group Chat Consensus

Every major investment decision is vetted through a rigorous process of screenshots, vibes, and "You still in this?" texts at 11:42 PM.

High Conviction, Poor Timing

We don't just buy. We buy after everyone else already did.

Diamond Hands (Until We Don't)

Long-term mindset, short-term panic.

Our History
A story of early success, unearned confidence, and inevitable reality.

Old City Equity was founded after a series of highly successful early trades during a strong market upswing. Encouraged by immediate and unearned confidence, the founding partners:

  1. Increased position sizes
  2. Expanded into assets they didn't understand
  3. Began using phrases like "macro environment" unironically

Shortly thereafter, market conditions shifted.

Today, we remain committed to:

  • Holding positions we no longer believe in
  • Avoiding realized losses at all costs
  • Logging in less frequently

Our Strategy
Capital deployment across a diversified range of questionable decisions.

Asset Selection

  • Stocks we heard about too late
  • Sectors that already ran
  • "Can't lose" ideas from social media
  • Positions we forgot why we opened

Competitive Edge

  • Acting quickly on incomplete information
  • Confusing luck with skill
  • Ignoring exit strategies
Performance
We believe traditional performance metrics fail to capture our true value.
